FAQs
What is the Florida Outdoor Adventure Challenge?
The Florida Outdoor Adventure Challenge is designed to encourage exploration and enjoyment of Florida’s natural landscapes. Participants can engage in hiking, kayaking, camping, and more. The goal is to pick a challenge that aligns with your goals and interests and to share your progress in our community Facebook group to celebrate your success and connect with others.
Do I need to have prior experience to participate?
No prior experience is necessary. The challenge is designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced outdoor enthusiasts. Know your limits and if you have any questions or concerns about getting started, connect with your healthcare provider. All recreational outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and kayaking, have inherent risks. By participating in any group event or challenge, you agree that the Florida Outdoor Adventure Group and its admins are not liable for any losses, damages, or injuries. Know your physical limits and prioritize safety at all times.
Is there a fee to participate?
There is no fee to participate in the challenges, we want everyone to just enjoy the physical and mental benefits of being outdoors and be able to network with others.
Can I participate in more than one challenge?
Of course! As long as it is realistic for you to balance more than one, do what works for you.
How do I track my challenge?
We have logs available on our resource page! You are welcome to either print or save them on your phone to mark up digitally. If you want to track and celebrate privately, that is ok, but we would also love you to share your progress in our Facebook group to motivate and connect with others.
How do I find locations to complete the challenges?
Check out the links on the resource page, and we also recommend joining our Facebook community group to get ideas from other members of great places to explore!
